The nearest airports are Palermo (Falcone e Borsellino), 109 km away (about 1 hour), and Trapani (Birgi), 41 km away (about 45 minutes). From the holiday home, in addition to Tonnarella beach, you can easily reach San Vito beach on the seafront of the same name, or the city beach along the extension called Lungomare G. Mazzini, about 2 km away by car or bike. The villa is very close to all the most important everyday services, including restaurants, pizzerias with takeaway, a fuel station, bars, tobacco shops, bakeries, pharmacies and supermarkets (Eurospin and Penny Market). In short, everything you need and other shops are within easy walking distance too (for example: Farmacia Bono on Via G. Bessarione, 800 meters; Bistrò restaurant-pizzeria, 2.4 km on Via Del mare; bakeries at 50 and 150 meters; tobacco shop at 750 meters; Penny Market at 400 meters; fuel station at 600 meters). It is also 2.4 km from the city center (Piazza Mokarta – Piazza della Repubblica) and the famous Arab district Kasbah, as well as the city’s main landmarks: Piazza Plebiscito, home of the Satiro museum, the Garibaldi theatre, the Cathedral and the Bishop’s Palace. Continuing along Lungomare Mazzini and then San Vito, the coastline of Mazara del Vallo turns rocky, leaving behind the long sandy beaches. Mazara del Vallo is known as the City of One Hundred Churches, home to one of Europe’s most important fishing ports, and above all for the Gambero Rosso di Mazara del Vallo. From Mazara del Vallo you can easily reach Selinunte, an ancient Greek settlement, as well as Marsala, the island of Mozia, Erice and the city of Trapani with its salt pans and connections to the Egadi islands, also from Marsala.
